The Rise of Guilds
Merchants and artisans formed
guilds to make sure that their were treated equally. It was not easy to become a member of a
guild. The person had to be an apprentice or trainee for two to seven years.
Then they became a journeyman and after they took a test to become a master.
Soon it led to the decline of feudalism because people believed that they
should be free to develop their own talents and to improve their way of
life.
